Derek A. Cortvriendt a native of Colorado has lived in northern Jefferson County for over thirty-years.  He attended and graduated from Arvada Senior High School, completed undergraduate studies at Metropolitan State College of Denver and graduate studies at the University of Denver.

Derek and his wife Christine, married for sixteen-years, live in the Westminster/Broomfield area with their daughters Erin and Lindsey.  He is an active member in his local community and charitable endeavors. 

Prior to becoming a Realtor®, Derek was the Executive Director of a non-profit organization which provided residential and non-residential treatment services for adolescent youth and families.  Over fifteen-years he honed his organizational, problem solving and negotiating skills working with some of the state’s toughest delinquent and mentally ill youth and their family’s.  Working in highly charged atmospheres and crisis situations among various systems has instilled in him perspective and a sense of humor.
